Business terms
Last updated September 23, 2026
These terms are an agreement between your business and Mavericks Technologies PLC, which operates Sa'at (“we”, “us”). They apply when you run a business on Sa'at: your dashboard, booking page, queue, and plan. They sit alongside the terms of service, which cover everyone, and the privacy policy. By creating a business account, you agree to all three.
Early access
Sa'at is in early access and nobody is charged yet. The sections on plans and billing describe how paying works once billing starts. We'll tell you in your dashboard before it does, and nothing is charged without you choosing a plan.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older and allowed to act for the business you sign up.
- Keep your business details, services, prices, and hours accurate. Customers book based on what you show.
- Keep your login private. You're responsible for what happens in your dashboard, including by anyone you let use it.
- New businesses are reviewed before they appear in customer search.
Plans and prices
Sa'at Bookings is 700 ETB a month, Sa'at Queue is 1,500 ETB a month, and Sa'at Growth is 2,500 ETB a month. Paying yearly costs 15% less and is paid upfront for the year. What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page. Some features listed for a plan may still be rolling out during early access. We won't charge you for a plan whose main features aren't available to you yet.
The free trial
- Every new business gets 30 days free. There's no setup fee.
- You don't need to add any payment details to start.
- Before the trial ends, we'll remind you in your dashboard and by SMS to your business phone number, at least 7 days ahead. That text goes to your business, not to your customers.
- To keep taking new bookings and walk-ins after the trial, choose a plan. If you don't, new bookings and walk-ins stop. You can still sign in, see your customers and history, and manage bookings that already exist. We don't charge you automatically. Paying for a plan in Sa'at isn't available yet, so choosing a plan after the trial means contacting Sa'at.
- One free trial per business.
Billing
- Monthly plans are paid at the start of each month. Yearly plans are paid upfront.
- Your dashboard shows how to pay and what you owe.
- If a payment is late, you have 7 days to pay. After that, new bookings and the queue pause until it's paid. We don't charge interest on late payments.
- When you pay late, the month you buy runs from the end of your last one, not from the day you pay. Those 7 days are part of the month.
Changing or cancelling your plan
- You can upgrade at any time. The new plan starts right away.
- You can downgrade or cancel at any time. The change takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, so you keep what you paid for until then.
- We don't refund part-used months. A yearly plan cancelled within 14 days of paying is refunded in full. After that, it runs to the end of the year.
Price changes
If we change a plan's price, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead in your dashboard and by SMS. The new price applies from your next billing period. A yearly plan keeps its price until the year you paid for ends.
Texts to your customers
Your customers get texts from Sa'at about their bookings: a confirmation and a reminder about two hours before. Each plan includes an amount of SMS, and higher plans include more. We may limit unusually high volumes that look like misuse. You can't use Sa'at to send marketing texts to customers who haven't agreed to receive them.
Your customers and their data
- Your customer records (visit history, notes, and contact details for people who booked with you) belong to you. We store and use them only to run Sa'at for you and as the privacy policy describes.
- You're responsible for how you use your customer records. We're responsible for how Sa'at stores and protects them.
- When you enter a customer's phone number yourself, for example when booking someone in, you confirm they gave it to you for that booking. They'll receive booking texts at that number.
- A customer's own Sa'at account is theirs, not yours. They can see and cancel their bookings with you and delete their account at any time.
- If you want a copy of your customer list, ask us and we'll send it to you.
What we expect from you
- Honour bookings at the price and time shown when the customer booked.
- Don't add fees a customer wasn't shown before booking.
- If you have to cancel a customer's booking, cancel it in Sa'at so they're told, and only for a real reason.
- Reply to customer complaints within a reasonable time.
- If you take deposits or payment by bank transfer or Telebirr, verify proofs honestly. Sa'at does not take card or wallet payments for your customers. Refunds and payment disputes are between you and your customer.
- Treat customers and the Sa'at team with respect.
Reviews
Customers who booked with you can rate and review you. Don't write, pay for, or pressure anyone into reviews, and don't offer rewards for good ones. We don't remove honest reviews because they're negative. If a review breaks the rules in the terms of service, report it to us.
Your content
Your logo, photos, service descriptions, and prices stay yours. You let us show them on Sa'at so customers can find and book you. Only upload content you have the right to use, and ask permission before posting photos of identifiable people.
Suspension and closing your account
- We may suspend a business that breaks these terms, for example for fake bookings, false payment verification, abuse, fraud, or unpaid fees. Unless it's urgent, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.
- To close your business account, contact us and we'll do it. We keep your data for 90 days in case you come back or want a copy, then delete it. Past bookings may stay in anonymous form, and we keep anything the law requires us to.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Sa'at running, but we can't promise it will never be down. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for lost revenue or missed bookings caused by downtime, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing here limits anything the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
We'll tell you at least 30 days before an important change takes effect, in your dashboard and by SMS. If you keep using Sa'at after that, the new terms apply.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia. If something goes wrong, contact us first and we'll try to sort it out. If we can't, disputes go to the courts of Addis Ababa.
