Terms of service
Last updated August 29, 2026
Sa'at is a booking and live-queue platform for local businesses in Ethiopia and their customers. These terms cover both: using the customer app to book or join a queue, and running a business dashboard on Sa'at. By using Sa'at you agree to these terms.
What Sa'at does
Customers can find businesses, book appointments, and join live queues. Businesses can manage their calendar, queue, staff, services, and customer records. Sa'at is early access. Features are still being built out, and some UI (like payment method selection at checkout) may not yet be fully wired to a live payment processor. Where that's the case, no charge is made through the app.
Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (name, phone number, business details) and for activity under your account. Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their own services, pricing, hours, and staff information shown to customers. New businesses are reviewed before they appear in customer search. Your dashboard works right away either way.
Bookings and queues
A booking or queue ticket is an arrangement between a customer and a business. Sa'at provides the scheduling and notification layer but is not a party to that arrangement. Cancellations, no-shows, refunds for goods and services, and disputes are between the customer and the business.
Payments and payment proof
Sa'at does not process payments. When a business accepts bank transfer or Telebirr, money moves directly between you and that business, and you upload a screenshot as proof so they can confirm it. Sa'at stores that image only to show it to that business, and deletes it on the schedule set out in the privacy policy.
Verifying a payment is the business's decision, not ours. A business can mark a proof unverified and cancel the booking, and an unpaid booking may be cancelled automatically. Refunds and payment disputes are between you and the business. Uploading a false or altered proof is grounds for suspension.
Acceptable use
Don't use Sa'at to submit false bookings, spam a business's queue or calendar, scrape data, or attempt to access another account or business's data you don't own. We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform.
Early access
Sa'at is under active development. We'll do our best to give notice before changes that affect how you use the app, but during early access, features, pricing, and availability can change.
Liability
Sa'at is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including missed bookings due to downtime.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia.
